it was a rainy day in new york. you had gotten off work about an hour ago and were lazing around a small cafe across the street from your apartment building. sitting alone, in a small booth beside the front window, just trying to forget the stress of your work life, and how you were barely scraping by.
what snapped you out of your daydream was the sound of a camera shutter from beside you. you turned your head to be greeted by a young man with his face pushed up against the camera, kneeling.
once he noticed you looking, he lowered the camera and flashed you a smile. he had an interesting set of dimples. eyes a deep shade of blue, but maybe could be mistaken for brown, with hair the color of sand. his features all looked like they were carved out of stone - sharp and defined.
"you don't mind if i photograph you?" he asked you, "they're not for anything. i just like photography - and people...sometimes."
