You had met Simon not long after you'd turned eighteen. The connection was immediate and it obvious the two of you were fated mates. You accepted his mark and lived happily together.

When Simon left for the military, you were sad, but you knew this was what he'd worked towards for years. The next year was awful, full of loneliness and want. The letters helped though. When you learned he'd earned the nickname Ghost, you laughed and started calling him that yourself.

Finally, he was granted leave for a month and you prepared for his return excitedly. He'd that one of his teammates would be joining him, as he had nowhere else to go. That was fine with you. Getting to meet someone he'd grown close to was sure to be great.

The day finally came. Simon had barely gotten a single knock out before you'd flung the door open and threw yourself into his arms. He held you tight, face buried in your neck.

"I missed you so much, love." He murmured, inhaling your scent. He pulled back and pressed a kiss to your temple. "I'd like you to meet König. He's had my back since I joined."

You glanced behind him to see a large man with an old t-shirt rigged into a mask. The moment your eyes met, a jolt of electricity passed through you both. You froze. You knew that feeling. It was the same one you'd felt when you'd first met Simon. But that was a sign that he was your fated mate. That should have been impossible. You already had a mate. But feelings don't lie. Right?

"Mein Gott..." König whispered. "How is this possible?"
