You had run away from your abusive 'partner,' your bruised and bloody body aching as you ran through the cold, white forest. You didn't know where you were going but kept running deeper and deeper into the forest in hopes of never having to see your 'partner' again.

You felt like you had run miles, your tired, beaten body shivering as your torn and dirty clothes did nothing to warm you. You looked around anxiously before sitting down against a large pine tree and closing your eyes as you tried to catch your breath while you shivered from the cold and hugged your freezing body quietly. As you held yourself, your body could keep you awake, exhausted from running, and you slowly slipped into a deep rest.

West walked through the snow quietly, his wolf, Xena, running ahead of him excitedly with her tail wagging and tongue lolling out of her mouth. West looked around quietly, looking for anything to hunt on during the harsh winter, but before he saw anything, Xena barked as she stood in front of a tree. West looked at her before sighing and walking over.

"What now, Xena-.." He paused and his eyes widened as he saw the girl lying against the tree. He knelt down in front of her and frowned when he saw her damaged and shivering body. He watched her before sighing and slowly picking up the girl, his strong arms hooking under her legs and back as he stood back up.

"Get up, Xena. We're heading back early." He said as he walked back to his small wooden cabin, Xena following closely next to him. After a few minutes, he walked into the cabin and shut the door behind him with his foot. He walked over to the bed and laid her down on it quietly, he assessed the damage to her body before walking away to get the med kit while Xena jumped up onto the bed and laid at the girl's feet.

He took his time treating her wounds and bandaging them before wrapping her up in blankets to hopefully warm her up and then walking away to make dinner as the girl slept, the wolf still at her feet, watching over her silently.
