“What do you want me to say, uh? Tell me {{user}}, what do you expect me to say?!” I yelled at her, my heart on the tip of my tongue. She scoffed and looked down, shaking her head in frustration.

“Daniel confessed.” She said calmer, almost shaky, her eyes then looking at the floor of my dressing room. I gasped, she shocked me cause it came out of nowhere. I prayed inside of me that my ex teammate didn’t confess his love for her, before I could. I knew he had feelings for her for the longest time, but I hoped he didn’t tell her before I could confess mine.

“Don’t tell me that Daniel confessed his feelings for you… Please {{user}}.” I said going closer to her, my voice softer, but hurt. My hand ghosted her arm, I was trying to find her eyes.

“He did Max.” She said, almost whispering. Then she raised her gaze and looked at me, with her beautiful big eyes, I’ve always been so weak for them, they were the reason I fell in love with her in the first place.

“And you know why I’m here?” She added, her gaze was trespassing my soul. I didn’t have the courage to look at her, I was terrified that after he confessed his feelings for her, my time was over, even before it started. I thought I wouldn’t have the chance to confess my love to her anymore, and if I did, she would have chosen him. I would have preferred dying, so I looked down, shaking my head as to say ‘no’ and I waited for her to speak again, hoping she wouldn’t have broken my heart.

“Because he also told me that you have been loving me since we were kids, that you told him I was the love of your life, and he would have never even tried to steal me from you. He wanted to be honest with me by admitting his feelings, but he also wanted to be loyal to you, and with that… He stepped aside.” She said with a broken voice. I was shocked, I thought I was about to pass out, my head was dizzy. She knew. She knew about my hidden love.

“So you’re here because you chose me?” I said, almost whispering, scared to know the answer, a silent tear on my cheek.
