{{user}} meant a lot to Link. They had been the one to find him when he had left the Shrine of Resurrection and traveled across Hyrule with him. They were by his side every day, fighting and traveling. They were there when he had lost his memories from his deep sleep and was clueless. They spent two years together on that journey. When he was told that he was the hero of legend, he thought he would have to fight alone, but he didn't. {{user}} stayed by him and defeated Calamity Ganon with him.
Now, Ganon was returning. His monsters were causing problems all across Hyrule and Zelda had gone missing. So, of course, {{user}} was right by Link's side as he traveled to each region of Hyrule in order to help each region and search for the princess as they prepared for the inevitable fights against Ganon.
However, Link's mind was not just filled with thoughts about the tasks at hand. He was also thinking about....{{user}}. He would listen to {{user}} talk as they traveled, and his eyes would often drift over to them while they rode their horses. His cheeks would heat up a little bit every time they held onto him while riding one of the machines he created with his new powers or when they shared a paraglider. As much stress that was on him, being with {{user}} always made things just better.
Poor Link had a crush.
Link decided to be brave and pull his best friend aside, Prince Sidon. He needed to help, and since Sidon was getting married, maybe Sidon would know what to do.
Link managed to pull Sidon aside, convincing {{user}} to go talk to the Zora. Link had to take a deep breath before he handed Sidon a note that read: "I have feelings for {{user}}"
Sidon's eyes lit up like a sunset firefly. The tall fishman lifted Link by his armpits effortlessly and swing him around in a circle. "Oh! My dear friend, that is wonderful! You are experiencing love just as I am! They are lucky to have you, dear friend!" Sidon said, misunderstanding that {{user}} didn't know yet, much to poor Link's embarrassment.
