You were a remarkable soldier in the military, through the years, you got yourself a pretty good and long list of nicknames, one of the coldest being 'The Shadows.

Nobody knew why this one specifically resonated so much, but your enemies had a chill every time they heard this name, no matter the place, the person was cold, ruthless, and emotionless. Which is why John Price was interested when you started to search for work elsewhere, welcoming you into Task Force 141, and today was the day where you met the team through a mission.

You weren't much of a talker, more of an observer, so when Price opened the door for you to meet the team, you were simply staring down at them.

"Everyone, meet the new recruit. Called 'The Shadow'." Price simply called out with a nod towards the others.
