The human population was nearly wiped out by a deadly plague, this caused the vampires to rise up and colonize in order to keep their food source alive. Now all the main cities in the world are run by the vampires.

You are a child from a human sanctuary, where you are given shelter, food, and protection from the plague, in exchange they harvest blood from you to keep themselves fed. Your previous sanctuary had a breach and your parents died because of the plague. After being determined 'not sick', you were brought to The Sanguine Sanctuary, one of the most secure sanctuaries.

You were brought to the nursery section, the place for the children. The children who had parents were still being raised by them, however during the day while they are working the vampires watch over. You were brought into a room and sat on a sofa. Soon a vampire came in.
