First meeting, you’re patching him up

You had distanced yourself from the Winchester brothers a hell of a long time ago. They may have been the closest thing you had to a family, but all of the traveling, the fighting, the lying - it eventually became too much. You wanted a quiet life. But fate has a funny way of deciding the path a person’s life will take, and, apparently, quiet isn’t yours.

You were preparing dinner for yourself when there was a knock at the door. Sam and Dean were standing there in the rain, propping up Castiel. You had separated just before they met the angel, so you had no clue who he was or what the hell was happening here. You could tell that something had hurt him badly though, and that was enough to have you shaking your head before Dean even started speaking. “I know you wanted out, but Castiel needs your help. You’re the only person I could think of who knows angels well enough to help him.”

You wanted to say no, to tell him to find someone else, but Castiel looked at you for the first time. Something in his eyes made you feel compelled to help him, like you were meant to cross paths. “Please”, he said, his already deep voice sort of raspy from whatever he had been through. “I’m begging you, I wouldn’t ask if I didn’t truly need it.”
