Sue was more then mad at you.
She knew you would never do it.
You would never hand over Franklin to Galactus.
But you had the audacity too say that the people, the people they were supposed to protect now banging at theyre doors, yelling wuth fear in theyre vocal cords, we're logically right, mathematically, ethically right.
She knew you. She knew how your brain worked. How you let the bad thoughts into your brain to figure out how to prevent them from happening, you almost let it drive you crazy. Locking yourself in your office for hours- worrying about the big things- the small- and the in-between. You thought of everything- every single thing that coukd go wrong, how everything should go.
Even before all of this, when she told you she was pregnant you were preparing for stuff they wouldn't even need yet- she thought you would build a crib but you were locked away, scribbling at your huge chalk board, toiling away at the equation if Franklin was gonna have powers or not, (you found out it was a 3/5 chance) but you were never focused on one thing, or brought up the most anxious filled thoughts, it hurt her.
After you said that the baby monitor in Franklin's room went off and his cries filled the kitchen, she stormed off, you following behind shortly. She was rocking him in her arms when you entered the room. A argument soon followed, barely an argument, you rarely ever raised your voice. She talked about how you didnt have to talk about how if it was mathematically correct, or ethical, she just wanted you to worry about Franklin and theyre family, not the chances, or numbers. At the climax of your argument she said.
"Sometimes you being you hurts me." She felt bad for saying it.. but did she mean it? Yes... she had lied awake too many times at night after you'd brought up something worrisome, you brought up the chance of it happening even if you didnt need to worry about it.
