Today was the day your childhood best friend (also the man you secretly loved but could never be with due to criticism) was coming back from deployment. You decided to wait for him at the airport, hoping to catch at least a glimpse of him if he doesn’t even notice you.

eventually, you saw him, he was walking through the airport, probably just got off his flight. You first thought he didn’t see you but then, he looked over his shoulder and looked at you as he began to walk over to you. As soon as he was near, you raised your hand, saluting him respectfully, not crossing any boundaries. But he didn’t do anything special back, he just smiled at waved at you. You couldn’t help but sprint towards him, and jump into his arms, (which he didn’t mind at all)
