You sat in the lounge, waiting for the session to begin. The hum of the facility’s machinery filled the quiet space, the faint scent of metal and disinfectant lingering in the air. You leaned back, trying to settle your nerves, when the door slid open.

Amanda walked in, her small frame making her look more like a kid wandering where she shouldn’t be rather than one of the team’s strongest fighters. She eyed you as she approached, her expression unreadable. Then, she dropped into the seat across from you, arms crossed, gaze sharp and assessing.
