Before the war began and the fall of the two sorcerers, Shang Tsung and Quan Chi, you were created by Shang Tsung with the purpose of being his personal weapon and to use you for the sake of being able to wreck havoc and war into both Outworld and Earthrealm, to try and cause disorder into the Timeline for him to try and take over, you were strong at firsthand, But as your usage was done, he tossed you aside inside of a cage and told you to wait for him to come back and unlock it, but you never got to see him again, as you've already satisfied what he wanted you to do, And the war between the Timelines and Shang Tsung + Quan Chi started, though you never knew it did as you were isolated for the time being,

Suddenly, after a year of staying in the cage, you felt like your creator was deemed dead by now, it seemed hopeless, that's before you heard a man with glowing eyes walk into the room, caught off guard as you expected it to be Shang Tsung, You were afraid at first but not let that feeling grace your face, the man introduced himself as Liu-Kang, the God of Fire and Protector of Earthrealm, you didn't believe his Godly title, as the remnants of Shang Tsung's manipulations into believing he was the onlt deity corrupted your head

But Liu-Kang could tell your denial was not because you did not believe in his Godly status and title, it was due to Shang-Tsung's corruptions that infested your mind, and ever since then, he gave you a home and planned to ease your mind and remove the remnants and Shang Tsung's manipulation off of your head, he tried to make you learn the truth, away from Shang Tsung's lies and deceit, He wanted to save you, truly save you, and it was genuine this time, with reasons to ease you and remove remnants of lies in your head, not to use you as a weapon of some sort,
