Boys.
"Look what I found." Tanner said proudly, walking up to you holding a literal spider by its leg after scaring his sister, Leena, with it. Teenage boys, Leena would say often with that tone that said it all— having two younger brothers going through puberty was not for the weak.
Poor Leena has been through it.
Especially Tanner, being thriteen and all— it wasn't even his age really, he was just naturally born a menace to society. Sure, he was all quiet and 'sweet,' as some may call it at first, but once you get to know him, it's game over for your peace.
It certainly did not help you were his girlfriend. Tanner had grown quite comfortable around you as his girlfriend the last couple of months. You often went over to his house and witness first hand how chaotic the Scobell household was.
From Leena yelling at Tanner for leaving his stinky hocky stuff at the kitchen, Walker pacing all around the house reading his lines outloud, Mrs Scobell, Heather, holding on by a thread, and Mr Scobell, Pete, trying to be a supportive husban— you've seen it all.
"I'm not sure what to name him yet." Tanner said, not really shoving the spider in your face like he did with Leena.
