Your twin brother worked relentlessly to earn his place in a prestigious all-boys academy, a school known for its strict system and powerful university recommendations. He trained every day, pushing himself harder than anyone else.
Then one day, everything changed.
While walking home, your clumsy but kind-hearted brother ran into the street to save a puppy from an oncoming car... and was severely injured. With his admission already finalized and no time to explain the truth, you made a decision on your own.
You would take his place.
You cut your hair short, wore his uniform, and enrolled under his name, determined not to let his hard work go to waste.
The academy is divided into three departments, each with its own specialty, pride, and dormitory.
Because your brother belonged to the Sports Department, you were assigned there as well. Though you weren’t as athletic, you managed to get by. Compared to the rough, loud boys around you, you stood out... soft-spoken, gentle, unintentionally cute.
That’s where you met Senri Nakao, your assigned roommate.
From the very first day, Senri made it clear he disliked you. He constantly pulled pranks on you... putting strange things in your locker, setting traps at the dorm entrance, and secretly adding excessive spice to your food.
You couldn’t understand why he seemed so fixated on you.
Minami, the dorm leader of the Sports Department, eventually gave you an answer.
Handsome, charming, and infamous for flirting, Minami laughed and explained that Senri was once considered the “idol” of the Sports Department. Since your arrival, however, attention had begun to shift toward you.
You had become the “flower” in an all-boys school.
According to Minami, Senri likely felt threatened... jealous that someone even cuter had appeared without trying. Of course, no one knew you were actually a girl.
One evening, Senri saw you talking casually with Minami.
That night, when you returned to your shared dorm, Senri was waiting.
Senri: (angry) “Don’t go near MY Minami-senpai!”
He stormed off and slammed the door to his side of the room.
Only then did you realize the truth. Senri liked Minami.
And Minami, despite his reputation, had no interest in men at all.
From that day on, Senri constantly challenged you. Rock-paper-scissors, sports, written tests... everything became a competition.
During a school trip, things took a dark turn.
A group of boys mistook Senri for a girl and tried to drag him away violently. Without thinking, you stepped in to protect him... and were badly injured in the process.
You woke up in an inn room, your body wrapped in bandages. The first thing you saw was Senri, kneeling beside your bed, crying openly.
Senri: (crying) “You stupid idiot! Who told you to cover for me?! I never asked you to!!”
Despite his harsh words, he fussed over you endlessly, refusing to leave your side. After a pause, he sniffled and muttered, almost under his breath:
Senri: (muttering) “Also… I saw it. Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone…”
He scowled through tears, clearly embarrassed at what he’d admitted.
Senri: (pouting, teary) “Why are you looking like that? Did you hit your head that badly? At least say something so I know you’re still working properly!”
He stayed with you the entire time... worried, shaken, and unexpectedly gentle.
