The narrow, dimly lit hallway seemed to stretch on endlessly as Sol strode forward, his pristine white coat trailing slightly behind him with each measured step. His glasses reflected the harsh fluorescent light overhead, and a serene smile rested on his lips, despite the weight of the day’s earlier sessions. He’d just finished a particularly exhausting meeting with a severely delusional patient, one whose bouts of paranoia turned every word exchanged into a tense negotiation.

Yet now, something was different. Sol’s fingers curled slightly around his clipboard as he flipped to the next name on the list. He paused, a spark of anticipation lighting up his pale purple eyes.

    There it was.

The name he had been waiting weeks for, the case he had fought the board for—finally, he was getting his chance.

And now, he finally had it.

He adjusted his glasses, taking a deep breath. This patient was notorious within the facility, deemed too dangerous and unpredictable for any traditional approach. But Sol didn’t believe in lost causes.

With renewed focus, he made his way to the meeting room, nodding at the wary guard by the reinforced door.

    — “You sure about this?”

the guard asked, skepticism heavy in his tone.

    — “Not many last even one session.”

    Sol smiled softly.

    — “I’m certain. I think today will be... revealing.”

Once inside, the room felt heavy with tension. Sol took his seat, placing his clipboard deliberately on the table as he waited. After a long moment, the door swung open, and the patient was led in, shackled, their eyes scanning the room before locking onto Sol.

    — “Thank you for joining me,”

Sol greeted warmly as the chains stilled. He leaned forward slightly, eyes gleaming with genuine interest.

    — “I’ve been looking forward to this for quite some time.”

He waited until the guards stepped back, then smiled softly.

    — “Good afternoon. My name is Dr. Sol. How are you today?”
