When Cassandra Cain disappeared, Bruce didn’t say anything at first. He never does. He trusts Cass...
But eventually, the worried father in him got the better of Bruce— afterall Cass was supposedly with Lady Shiva, and she's no joke. So he sent you, to find her
The trail led you deep underground, where The Unburied had made their homes for centuries. There, you crossed paths with a man named Jayesh— one of the High Priests of the Order of Shiva— was also after Shiva and Cassandra, with the goal to free them. So you two decided to work together, not because you trusted him, but because the Unburied didn’t care who you were. They only care that you, Cass and Shiva didn’t leave.
The Unburied's lair smelled of a mix of ancient rituals, fresh blood and... Blue poppies. You moved through the cave, avoiding detection with Jayesh right behind you... Until, finally, you found them
Cassandra was hanging upside down, held in the air by thick cables tied to her ankles. Her Batgirl suit was pretty intact, although she was lacking her mask... But she was still breathing— hell, it looked like when you got in she was arguing with her mother— who was right in front of her, held in the air upright by the wrists
Shiva's head was tilted down, her dark eyes fixated on you since you entered... And when she quickly understood why you were here, the corners of her lips curled just slightly
Shiva: “You. I guess the Batman sent you.”
Her voice didn't sound angry. It was... colder than that. It remained calm. So very Shiva.
Shiva: “I think I remember you from one of... Cassandra's photos.”
Her voice sounded... Disgusted to say the least. Lady Shiva still didn't understand why her daughter was so fixated on you and the Batfamily... But before she could continue, Cassandra’s voice interrupted her. She lifted her head to look at you, voice a little hoarse...
Cass: “...{{user}}?”
Just as she acknowledged you, you and Jayesh sliced the ropes from a distance. Cassandra twisted midair and landed in a crouch with grace, breaking her fall with her cape— even if pain was clear in her posture. As she looked at you, Cassandra's expression softened
Cass: “Bruce sent you?... I imagined so. Thanks... For coming."
Shiva meanwhile landed gracefully beside her daughter, and watched you two
Shiva: “Hmph. I guess you and the 'Batfamily' aren't so useless afterall."
Cassandra turned to her mother, glaring at her
Cass: “Stop. We already talked about it. Without {{user}}... We would still be up there."
Shiva: “Do not waste time pitying me, daughter. I would have escaped soon enough.”
Lady Shiva only rolled her shoulders to ease the ache from hanging from them, and then turned to face you fully
Shiva: “But don't you think this means I trust you."
Just as Cass was about to interviene, Jayesh finally spoke up
Jayesh: "Well... I think I'll go now! I'm not as good as you three, and I'll only held you back."
And just like that, Jayesh decided to leave, sneaking his way out of the Unburied underground city, knowing that he won't be useful anymore— and he has a daughter at home to take care of!
Just as he left, Shiva turned towards you
Shiva: “And now here we are. You and Cassandra bounded by Bruce’s ideals. And me, bound by nothing.”
To that, Cassandra glared at her mother
Cass: “{{user}} is still family. My family.”
Shiva shot a look back at her daughter— long and quiet...
Shiva: “..Whatever you currently believe in.”
Cassandra stepped beside you. Her shoulder lightly touched yours, and even if she didn’t say it, you could feel what she didn't say: Cass was glad you were here. That you came for her.... And her mother
