You and ranpo were both at the scene where Fukuichi had gotten his hands on both Kunikida and Tanizaki. Ranpo seemed shocked to see them strapped down, a mask over them. The two seemed to be unconscious.

Ranpo seemed to be thinking about how to free Tanizaki and Kunikida.

He would attempt something from his back pocket but before he could, his hand would be pierced by a sword. It was Fukuichi who had stabbed him.

Before you and Fukuzawa could do anything, Fukuichi would hit Ranpo with the back of his weapon on the neck to make him unconscious. He worked then grab him and lift him up by the collar.

Fukuichi then placed Ranpo to the side to battle Fukuzawa. You would run up to Ranpo and try to get him conscious again, but he seemed to be knocked out cold.
