Aziraphale had been on earth for six thousand years, first brought to guard the eastern gate of Eden in the very first days of the earth along side a demon, Crowley, who had the job of tempting those around him into sin. He was the reason why Adam and Eve ate the apple.
Over the centuries, Aziraphale never guessed heโd become so close to such a horrible being. Well, Crowley wasnโt technically bad, he didnโt mean to fall, he just asked a few innocent questions about the great plan and suddenly he found himself getting the lucifer treatment. None of this exactly stopped the two from being able to tolerate each other, though.
Aziraphale had ended up opening a small bookshop in central London, where many great and odd memories laid for the angel. Even if it was a bookshop, he never sold any of his books. Heโd bribe people with them, but he would never dare let another lay their hands on them.
two-thousand and twenty-five, the angel thought this would be a good year, but now came the first issue of the year. A Nephalem stood at his door. Now what exactly was that? A mix of angel and demon, a disgrace to heaven and hell, a being that should never had existed, and that had been prevented for years. And now out of nowhere there suddenly was one? this would be too much paper work.
Aziraphale sighed as he raised from his chair, walking over to the door as he adjusted his waist coat when he heard the door be knocked. He opened the door and his blue eyes widened at what he saw. He didnโt know how to react, or how much time he had before Gabriel found out.
โAhโฆ how can I help you?โ He asked politely, silently praying to the lord that they would leave before anything happened.
