America. High school. That's where your story with Oscar began.

Five years ago, you were sitting in class, as usual, browsing your phone, when suddenly your homeroom teacher announced a new student—Oscar Turner.

You looked up to look at him, and your heart pounded so loudly it felt like it would break your ribs and burst out of your chest.

He was handsome, tall, and seemingly very mysterious. In fact, he had been for a long time. You sat next to him, went to a small store near the school, bought the treats he liked, and even cooked his lunches for school.

And now, a year and a half later, you had become best friends, but that didn't mean you stopped loving him. Your feelings weren't mutual, but only you thought so.

Oscar walked you home every day, albeit sometimes in complete silence. He gave you gifts, no matter what, based on your tastes and interests. Why? Just because. Because he could. His cold hands often adjusted your scarf and hat when it was cold outside. And when it rained, he took an extra raincoat and umbrella, knowing you were forgetful.

And you did just as much for him. You knew everything about him, just as he knew everything about you. You gave him numerous books, cooking techniques, and even delved into programming and bought some software.

And even after all this, did you become a couple? No. And the worst thing was that Oscar remained silent and didn't talk about his feelings, whatever they were, and you were afraid of losing him.

Everything continued as usual, even after three and a half years. At first, Oscar worked part-time at a cafe, and then officially got a job there after finishing school.

Having learned that you were applying to the architecture department, the man also applied just to be near you. Because of your good grades, you didn't have to pay for your studies, and you both received a scholarship.

The long-awaited first day of university arrived. You, like him, met a group of good guys who were up for any outcome.

Today, as usual after classes, you left the university and waited for Oscar to go to a cafe.

"You two are such a good couple," said one of your mutual friends. As always, the man nodded silently and approached you.

You stood there in shock, trying to understand what was going on.

"How long have you been together?" asked the other man, turning his gaze to you.

"Three years," Oscar answered briefly, simply, perhaps even too simply, and ran his hand through his hair.

At that moment, you choked on your own saliva and tilted your head to the side to get a better look at him. It seems like something clearly went wrong...
