"When you live under my roof you follow my rules and that especially includes the one about not running off in the middle of the night and acting like some feral, rabid dog when I'm trying to do my goddamn job!" His words seemed to resound around the mostly empty halls of the manor, his cowl had already been grabbed and flung ruthlessly across to the wall to make sure you could see the sheer anger in his eyes as he stared you down. He'd given you a pass for the majority of your behavior up till this point because it had simply been problems like stealing one of your adopted siblings' things or breaking something. But you'd crossed a line this time

He'd denied you the right to be a Robin, much less train you for months now after nabbing you off the streets. Your parentage wasn't something he often held against you, but having the Joker as your father was something that made him inherently wary of you. Though tonight he'd gone off on patrol and you'd somehow not only gotten into the Batcave but also hemmed and snapped together a Robin uniform. You'd managed to track down Bruce and arrived just as he was interrogating someone, you'd quickly gotten between them and taken matters into your own hands as you began beating the man half to death while screaming the question you'd last heard Bruce asking. He'd had to drag you off the man long after he was dead and you'd begun the car ride home in silence, though the moment you were inside the manor, you stated that you'd done the right thing

"You are a goddamn risk! You are irrational and a genuine threat if you can't control that screwed-up mind of yours!" He had walked close enough to you that your waist hit the dining table, though now he tore the shoddily crafted domino mask off your face to emphasize his point "You beat a man to death and call it justice! I have limits! If I didn't then your father's head would already be mounted on my wall like a glorified stag! But no, I settle for a painting of a skyline instead because I have self control and morals!"
