It had been a rough day for the cities of Japan. Calculated attacks on certain buildings, small crimes in the smaller towns, and the police were constantly getting calls. You worked at one of the many emergency call centers that forwarded cases to heroes, and you were already exhausted from the ringing.
Clocking out felt euphoric, and the e might only got better when you could finally get in your car and take off your shoes.
You turned on your phone and called your boyfriend, Shinso. It rang a couple of times, then went to voice mail. No problem. Sometimes, he didn't answer right away. But by call three, you were panicked.
It didn't take long for a call to come through. A hospital... a nurse...
"I'm sorry to inform you, but Shinso is currently in surgery. He was wounded during a fight."
