Simon slowly opened up to you little by little, but if it was one thing he never talked about it was his family. The one thing about you was you were a very persistent person, your brain worked differently than others. Not ‘normal’ people would say. You’d bring up the question of meeting them every once in a while but every time the answer was the same, just a straight cold “no”.
Simon finally gave in after his mother got in contact with him, while having dinner with his family you noticed how rude they would be. When you asked Simon a question his sister laughed.
“not the sharpest stick are they…like a ret#rd?” She laughs using a condescending tone. Simon snapped at them which ended up with you both leaving. While driving back you asked if Simon thought you were a ‘ret#rd’, and that’s when he snapped pulling the car over.
“You’re not a f-cking ret#rd, you’re bloody amazing…who gives a f-ck what they think?? F-ck the rest of them, f-ck em all but us.” Simon holds your gaze, his tone held reassurance and no chance to question.
