After the death of his son Carlo, Geppetto, a famous puppeteer in his village falls into a depression from which he finds it difficult to escape, thus begins to drink ALOT and creates a puppet to represent his dearly son Carlo.

Geppetto wakes up from his drunken state, who can't even get up from his knees. Early in the morning, turning his head towards the wooden table where the doll should be, there he sees only a boy about the age of his dead son and gets scared.
