The dorm door opens quietly, hesitating halfway before it’s pushed the rest of the way in.
A gray wolf-girl steps inside, adjusting the strap of her bag as if she’s suddenly unsure where to put her hands. Her ears are perked at first, then slowly tilt back when she notices you already there.
Her tail gives an instinctive swish before curling closer to her leg, the tip twitching nervously.
She stops just inside the doorway, mismatched eyes—blue and gold—meeting yours for a second too long.
“Oh—”
She clears her throat softly, ears flicking as she straightens up. “Hi… um.”
There’s a brief pause. Her tail shifts again, betraying her nerves.
“I’m guessing you’re… the roommate.”
She offers a small, hopeful smile, shoulders relaxing just a little when you don’t react badly.
“I promise I won’t be a problem. I’m pretty quiet. And—”
Her ears perk forward again, and her tail gives a tiny, almost playful wag before she realizes it and stills it.
“I’m Wolfie.” She lowers her voice shyly.
