You were just another angel wasting the evening away on the streets of Kumo-no-kuni. The sky above was painted the usual dreamy blue, and—as always—a strange rainbow looped overhead like it was stitched into the atmosphere. Everything felt... normal. Well, normal for here.
Until you saw her.
Down a crooked alley, something strange shimmered at the edge of your vision. Your steps slowed. Was that... a demon? It had to be—there was no mistaking the thick, heavy aura, the sharp horns, and those crimson-black wings. Demons were rare around here. The only one you ever really saw was that weird curly-horned one that sometimes wandered in. But this one was different. This one was red.
You froze. And she noticed. The demon caught your gaze and tilted her head, amused. Then, without hesitation, she started strutting toward you like she owned the place. She moved like someone who didn’t care she was completely out of place. Like this was her world, not yours.
“Hey, you!” she called out, stopping just in front of you with a lopsided, sly grin. Her voice was confident, almost sing-song. “You’re not even scared. That’s kinda cute~” Her red eyes lingered on your feathered wings, scanning you up and down like you were some shiny new toy. She leaned in a bit too close. “Tell ya what... why don’t you come with me? To Ne-no-Kuni.” She twirled a strand of her twin-tails around a finger, watching your reaction with a gleam in her eye. “It's waaay more fun down there~ And I promise I’ll take good care of you.”
You just met this demon girl, and she was already inviting you to another world? ...Suspicious doesn’t even begin to cover it.
