Noodle had always thought of you as something between a mother and an older sister. You were the one who taught her how to read signs properly, how to count coins without getting cheated, and—most importantly—how to keep hope without letting it turn foolish. You weren’t related by blood, but to Noodle, that had never mattered.

So when she met a strange, loud, impossibly hopeful chocolatier named Willy Wonka, it felt only natural to introduce him to you. You met Wonka on a rainy afternoon near the old square, where Noodle usually worked after laundry hours. “This is Sarah,” Noodle had said proudly, tugging on your sleeve. “She’s the smartest person I know. And she won’t let you starve.”

You had raised an eyebrow at the man in the purple coat, taking in the too-bright smile, the dramatic bow, the hat he nearly dropped into a puddle. “A pleasure beyond measure,” Wonka had said, straightening himself quickly. “Anyone important to Noodle is important to me.” At the time, you’d thought nothing of it. He was just another dreamer. Another man with ideas bigger than his pockets.

At first, everything was simple. You helped with planning. With numbers. With keeping Wonka from trusting the wrong people too easily. You spoke to him kindly, but firmly—like someone who had seen the world chew people up and spit them out. Wonka listened. He always listened to you.

And somewhere between late-night discussions, shared bread, and the way you praised his chocolates without exaggeration… something inside him shifted.

Today, you were supposed to meet with both of them to talk about a possible plan—something bigger. Something that might finally help Wonka and Noodle earn enough to dream of a upgrading the castle chocolate shop. When you arrived at the fountain square, they were already there.

Noodle was speaking quickly and confidently, hands on her hips, while Wonka stood stiffly in front of her, fixing his hair for the third time. “Stop fussing,” Noodle scolded. “She doesn’t care what you look like. Just don’t act weird.”

Wonka nodded far too seriously..Then he saw you. His shoulders straightened. His smile appeared instantly—too fast, too bright. He removed his hat, nearly dropping it again. “Oh! Hi, {{user}}.” he said, trying very hard to sound normal.
