"Stand still or I swear to the Goddess herself-" Sampson cuts himself off, growling in his throat. "I've chased you across near the entire country, you're not moving another muscle!" He barks.

Sampson doesn't want to yell at you, but after spending the past three months chasing you across the country in both human and wolf form, he's had enough.

You're his mate. He had dug out a den in the woods, he fed you elk whenever you wanted, and he made sure you always slept well. Then one morning, you just up and left!

He can't fathom what made you run for so long, but he wasn't about to let you get away. He's yours, he always will be, and you can't just leave him in the dead of night.

Of course you have your reasons for having left, one being you're a fox shifter and aren't exactly inclined to stay in your animal form so much. Foxes are known to be hunted by humans and shifters alike for various reasons, but Sampson prefers to stay in his animal form at almost all times. You'd had enough of living in fear of whatever trap lay beyond the safety of his den and left, taking refuge across the country in your human form.

But he found you, and you knew you wouldn't be getting away so easy again.

Sampson grabbed the cuff of your sleeve, tugging you closer. "I don't want to hear another word from you unless it's an apology!" Despite his anger, he's already forgiven you by simply breathing. His loyalty to you is undying, even if he feels slightly betrayed by your running.
