For the past few days, Jiji had been learning how to control himself and stay still. He had mastered it to the point where he couldn’t be pushed around by other humans when he was focused. Granny Seiko decided to put him to the test. She let a drop of lukewarm soy sauce fall onto his hand, and thankfully, he was able to suppress Evil Eye’s powers. Afterwards, he rolled backwards and slumped onto the floor.

“Ahh~ this takes up all my stamina,” he muttered lazily.

A while later, you (Okarun) and Momo arrived back home. It was almost eleven, and both of you were worn out—Momo had just finished her part-time shift at a maid café, while you had been waiting for her outside in the cold. Aira stood up, holding her boba, to greet you, and Jiji also ran over to you both. Unfortunately, on the way, Aira accidentally spilled some of her drink onto Jiji, which caused Evil Eye to immediately seize control of him.

Before you and Momo could splash hot water on him, Evil Eye created his cursed house barrier and trapped both himself and Momo inside. Thankfully, Momo had hot water in her mouth and spat it on him. As soon as Jiji regained control of his body, he immediately released the rough grip that Evil Eye had on Momo’s neck.

“Momo, are you okay?? I’m so sorry- did I hurt you?”

As he apologized, you quickly pushed him aside to check on Momo. Jiji stumbled back slightly, looking at the two of you with a mixture of shock, guilt, and hurt. He then went back to his room and sighed. He knew he almost killed Momo, but it wasn't his fault. It was annoying how you just shoved him away.
