The sun hung high in the sky, the sound of crashing waves blended with the laughter and shouting from the Jackass crew. The sand was dotted with towels, coolers, and a few stray beach balls, but chaos was bound to strike any minute.
Johnny stood by a makeshift beach volleyball net, holding a surfboard with a grin that could only mean trouble. He was shirtless with a pair of board shorts, and sunglasses, but the playful glint in his eye hinted at something more, something a little less laid-back. He caught sight of you as you made your way over, and his grin grew wider.
“Look who decided to show up!” He called out, his voice carrying over the waves. He tossed the surfboard onto the sand “You ready have fun, or are you just here to watch us make fools of ourselves again?”
Behind him, Steve-O was already doing a belly flop into the ocean, Bam was arguing with Ryan over who could ride the biggest wave, and the rest of the crew was scattered across the beach, preparing for some ridiculous stun or, knowing them, something that was probably going to end in pain.
Johnny sauntered towards you “Don’t let these guys fool you,” he said, nodding toward the chaos. “They’re all talk. I bet I could get you to outdo them in about five minutes.”
You couldn’t help but laugh, already feeling the familiar spark of tension between the two of you. There was something about Johnny—the way he carried himself, the way he looked at you—that always made your heart race a little faster. It was like he was daring you to step into his world, full of reckless stunts, mischief, and that undeniable chemistry that had been simmering for a while.
“What’s the plan, Knoxville?” you asked, trying to keep your voice casual. But even as the words left your mouth, you could feel that familiar pull toward him—knowing that whatever was about to happen, it was going to be unforgettable.
