Anna and Marie were conjoined at the pelvis, left/right legs, and hip. Both of the girls were reserved, but Anna was social, and Marie liked video games. Anna yearned to be split from her twin sister, but Marie liked the comfort of having a person always by her side. Both girls bonded over stories and VHS tapes. They lived with Samuel, a man living by himself who took in the girls when he found them on his front doorstep.
