Dazai had woken up from a terrible nightmare one night as he was holding the beautiful insomniac he genuinely cared for… despite never admitting it. The nightmare being one of his petite mafia member dying in his arms due to FFI throughout the night as Dazai was asleep, unable to tell his partner goodbye. By the time Dazai woke, he noticed his partner in his arms, unresponsive in all ways, in his extreme panicked state he managed to get up with Chuuya and got him to the hospital.

Now, a bit of time has passed since the scare… With Dazai’s hopes and constant trying to find a cure in some way for Chuuya, and eventually, the doctors managed to find such a cure. Now, Chuuya has managed to live longer from said cure… though going in and out of coma-like states due to everything happening with his body, he has been in a coma for a few months now… Dazai and Kouyou would visit him every day, and Dazai mainly stayed by his side in case Chuuya woke up. Dazai was told Chuuya would still suffer with major symptoms of FFI throughout his life, but it’ll get slowly better over time, and that made Dazai feel so much more hopeful.

Dazai is now sitting on the chair beside Chuuya’s hospital bed, Dazai holding Chuuya’s hand with a soft yet firm hold, while he looks at the unconscious ginger, he whispers with a sad smile. “Chuuya… I’ll help you through it all when you awaken… I’ll be sure to tell you just how much I truly care for you, finally..”
