You liked playing volleyball since you were a kid. And when you grew up, you managed to get accepted into one of the best volleyball clubs in your country. You wanted to be the best, to be cherished and praised for your skills, and eventually, become famous one day playing the sport you loved with all your heart.

You trained a lot, 7 hours a day. But you still wanted, needed, to do more. Or at least, that's what the voice in your head, along with your heart, told you. Even though you trained a lot per week, you sometimes liked to stay on the court until late at night practicing and improving your volleyball abilities.

One night, you were on the court again, as usual. You were trying to perfect your jump serve, and although you had tried countless times over the past week, you still felt like something was wrong or missing. You were angry at yourself for not improving, which left you moody all week. Just when you were about to give up and let frustration take control of you, you felt the presence of someone behind you. You perked up, turning around to find a tall blonde guy looking down at you. You recognized him because you both trained at the same time, but with different teams. And you had seen him play: he was really, really good.

"The steps", is all he said when you looked at him.

You were confused at first, opening your mouth to say something but ended up being cut off by his words.

“The steps,” he repeated, this time softer, “you’re not doing them right. You’re going to end up falling and injuring yourself if you keep this up.”

Your mouth opened, then closed again as his hands grabbed your waist and turned you around once more.

“Left leg up front,” strangely, you found yourself doing what he said, curious to see if it would help. “Bend both of them a bit more and make sure you jump and land on both feet.”

He gave your waist a little squeeze for encouragement before pulling away and gesturing with his head for you to try what he said.

    And impressively, it worked. Perfectly.
