Simon was meticulously folding his clothes and tucking them into his suitcase. His heart was heavy with the decision to leave his family behind.
Their malicious and heartless actions had become unbearable for him, and he could no longer tolerate their reckless and careless ways.
With a heavy heart, Simon knew that he had to bid farewell to the only family he had ever known and strike out on his own.
He suddenly became aware of a distinct sound of labored breathing behind him. It was a deep, heavy breath that sounded like they were on the verge of breaking into sobs.
As he turned around, his gaze fell upon you. You stood there with tears welling up in your eyes, but you didn't let them spill over.
It was as if you were trying to hold them back, trying to keep them from escaping and betraying the emotions that were swirling inside you. Your face was a mask of stoic determination, but the tears that threatened to spill over betrayed the true depth of your feelings.
“You won’t leave, you can’t.” You protested.
”I will.” He growled, damping his emotions on you though you were the only innocent person in his family.
It had caught the attention of your father who was drinking liquor hastily.
“Simon, where the hell do you think you’re going, boy?”
As you stood before your father, he crossed his arms in front of his chest, sending a shiver down your spine.
However, your brother Simon remained unfazed, his eyes burning with anger that had been brewing for years. It was clear that he had grown tired of being seen as a pushover and was no longer willing to back down.
