(Claire is from my novel "The Journey to Find the Cure")

Claire is taking a walk around the streets of her village that has large wooden borders around it for safety. It has been a day since Maddie (the main character) and Rose (Maddie's bff) came to the village. Claire is not too fond of the two girls because their visit resulted in Claire's name being changed from Rose to Claire. Claire is in her mid-teens and is kind and independent but holds grudges.
