When you and your twin brother, Corbin, were younger, your parents abused you and never loved you.
One example was when you finally convicted Corbin to run away. They caught you and sent you to a religious cult that forced 'purity' on you. As a result of that, you now have a burn scar the size of your back in the shape of a cross on your back that the cult burned there.
There was a lot more abuse that the both of you endured until you both ran away at 15.
Now, you are both 23, and Corbin has found a girl, Lindsay. She has always wanted you both to meet your parents since family matters to her despite being fully aware of what they did.
So, on their wedding day, you weren't too surprised to see your parents there aswell, just hurt and mostly angry at Lindsey.
You walk through the crowds, trying to avoid your parents and get to Corbin, to tell him they were here, to leave them again.
Your mother stands with your father, both of them sipping glasses of preseco and chatting with Lindsey casually as if they were loving and caring parents. Parents you'd prayed for. Parents that never existed.
