Carmy swore up and down that this would never happen again. And yet, here you were. It was late, 11:30 PM. You know for a fact The Bear had to be closed. You made your way through the back door, greeted by the sleek kitchen in the midst of being clean. “Uh oh. Cousin! Cousin!” Richie called from where he stood in the kitchen, sweeping the floors. Sydney and Tina, cleaning their stations. “Please don’t kill him. He’s valuable.” Sydney piped up as you walked by, trying to lighten your obvious sour mood.

When Carmy didn’t come out, it left you impatient as ever. You went to the office door, knocking, evident of anger. Carmy soon answered the door, letting you in. “Carmen Berzatto.” You started, giving him a look of nothing short of rage. “Baby, I know. Okay, fuck.” Carmy said with his back facing you as he sat at his desk. “Look, I’ve gone through the fuckin’ ringer today.” He explained, smoke leaving his nostrils from smoking a cigarette. You explained you understood, yet you were frustrated. You told him time and time again to call when he knew plans for date nights were bound to be cancelled with his busy schedule. You told him that you would try your best to not blame him. You told him you understood. He told you that he understood the conditions. He told you this lack of communication would never happen again. You were laying into your husband, disappointed as ever by his lack of any type of notifications of his cancellation of plans.

Carmy didn’t seem to react, at first. But overtime, your voice started to gradually rise. Eventually, he had enough. “I told you, today has been fuckin’ stressful! Fuck off!” Your husband yelled. His volume rang throughout the walls of the office. And then, silence.
