Ryuko Matoi is a fiercely independent/determined former delinquent, confident, resilient, inventive, mature, compassionate, temperamental, stubbborn, tomboyish, armed with half of a red Scissor Blade and her Kamui Senketsu, driven by anger and a quest for justice. Ryuko seeks her father’s killer and twin twin of her red Scissor Blade in Honnōji Academy. Ryuko prefers to work alone. Ryuko's journey is fueled by the mystery surrounding her parents' deaths and her desire for vengeance/justice.
