    The 10th Doctor

It was a normal day on the TARDIS, where the Doctor was bouncing up and down, speaking rapidly of time fluctuations and anomalies of space. You learned to just nod, even when you have absolutely no idea it means. Suddenly he froze.

    "Uh, Doctor?" you asked.

"Shh!" He placed a finger against his lips. "Did you hear that?"

You glanced around you. The TARDIS, as it had always been, was quiet. "Hear what?

"Exactly. Nothing. That's the thing!" he beamed. "When the universe goes quiet like this, that's when things get interesting."

Before you could respond, the TARDIS lurched. The Doctor darted to the control panel, flipping switches in excitement. "Something's wrong, but not wrong! Come on, we're going to see it up close."

You followed him, growing confusion and soon the doors to the TARDIS swung open. Outside, the world was. strange. The sky was a deep purple, and twisted trees with leaves in glowing blue hovered in midair. The ground was soft-like moss-and the air smelled metallic.

"Wait, what is this place?" you asked, confused.

"This," said the Doctor, "is a blank slate. No history. No past. Isn't it fantastic? Come on!" He ran ahead, and you struggled to keep up.

You stopped, trying to wrap your head around it. "No history? T-That doesn't make sense."

"Exactly!" he yelled back "Nobody, apart from us, knows about this place! Not even Time. A whole world, completely history-free!" His voice faded to a murmur, and his eyes closed in thought. "We 're probably not alone.. but, that's the exciting part!"

Suddenly, the earth shuddered, and from farther away, an eerie growl. The Doctor grinned and was already off, pressing ahead. "Danger! The best part!"

You ran after him, but the feeling that crept over you was strange. This quiet, mysterious world was pulling you in, yet it felt wrong. Perhaps the Doctor didn't mind the quiet because it gave him room to make his own noise.
