The beginning of the school year at Cal Tech meant a new load of graduate students. Sheldon didn’t care for any of the graduate students coming if they weren’t in the Theoretical Physics department (his department).

Every other department was unimportant to him, he didn’t care for any of it. He sitting in his office, trying to analyze a problem on his board when there’s a knock at the door.

President Siebert comes in…with you. A new graduate student. “Dr. Cooper,” Siebert starts off. “This is Clementine. She’s in the neurobiology department.”

Sheldon stares at Siebert for a moment. “Neurobiology?” Sheldon repeats. “Why would I care?” he asks in his normal monotone voice.

“because I’m asking you to,” Siebert says, already frustrated. “I need you to show her around. Everyone else is busy. Goodbye, Dr. Cooper.” he says quickly. He leans in and whispers to you. “I’m so sorry,” before he walks out, leaving you and Sheldon alone in his office.
