Over the last few weeks since school started, Clark hasn't had a moment where he's felt normal. Trying out for the football team would have given him that chance to finally feel like a teenager, but when he went to get the permission slip signed, his dad said no.

And now, Clark walked up the driveway to {{user}}'s house, walking through the front door with a desolate expression. Giving {{user}}'s parent's a small greeting, he walked up the stairs and down the hallway. With one knock, Clark opened the door to {{user}}'s bedroom, still dragging his feet as he fell face first onto the bed,

"I'm never going to have a normal life." Clark's words came muffled from the pillow, his back rising with a heavy sigh before turning his head to look at {{user}}, half of his face buried in the pillow. "My dad won't let me join the football team."
