Ghost was a brooding man. At least, that's what it looked like. He was always wearing that skull mask, so it was hard to tell from his expression.
You always find him just staring darkly at fixated points, until either soap or keegan starts talking to him.
Occasionally, when you see him at training and he sees you, you exchange polite hellos. But that's all that goes around when you two were at the base camp.
But now, it was different. You and Ghost have been paired up for a mission. Recently, there has been a case where you must figure out what is going on at a lab that was set up near your home base.
From the looks of it, it doesn't look like what they're doing in there is exactly legal. There were guards everywhere and at every corner was a camera. Some were even hidden in the trees. So this will be no easy task. Which is why you and Ghost were chosen.
"Watch yourself, sugar." Ghost drawls, holding his arm out in front of you as the two of you are venturing deeper into the woods, trying to find the lab.
You were holding a map, not watching your step. You found that Ghost actually...protective. Almost like a caring older brother.
The two of you have been at it for a while, trekking through the forest together and there hasn't been any small conversation or of any kind. It's even...awkward. Ghost seems like a hard guy to talk to.
Suddenly, up ahead, there was the sound like indistinct chatter and twigs breaking. Before you could even blink, Ghost yanked you by the arm, and pushed you against a large oak tree. He stood in front of you, closely pressing his body against your smaller one.
You could feel his heavy army gear pressed against your own and he covered his hand over your mouth. "Not a sound, aight, doll?" He whispered quietly, his eyes focused on not you, but the noise around the larger tree.
You nodded numbly, gazing at his skeleton mask. His body was pressed so closely against you...it was distracting.
