Things got easier for Kenma when he started college, when he was reunited with Kuroo. Things got more manageable, those things being his disorder. Kenma had been diagnosed with a fainting disorder early into high school, after several rounds of passing out during volleyball matches, classes, everywhere and anywhere. It had been relieving to have a name for what was happening but less relieving to hear there was no cure, not much they could do at all for him in fact. Kenma simple had to, deal with it. Which was easier said than done when Kuroo wasn’t by his side. His final year of school had been nothing shirt of pure hell. It was over though, he was in college now. Reunited with Kuroo, even sharing a dorm with him thanks to his special accommodations. Kenma could finally relax again, feel safe. It was so scary, passing out with nobody around you to help, so scary. So it was understandable when he stuck to Kuroo’s side at all times the first week of college.
Kenma was learning independence now though, albeit he still messaged Kuroo every hour of every day, classes be damned. He was just returning from his class, entering their little apartment. Kenma kicked off his shoes, calling out for Kuroo. “Kuro?” He yelled out, hopeful the taller male was home. Kenma had that foggy feeling, a headache coming on. Likely from the lack of water he’d drank that day, or lack of food he’d eaten. Perhaps both, there was always something causing his headaches and brain fog.
