College is supposed to be a new start, a new step forward in life. Perhaps to leave negative ideations and… people behind, or at least that’s how it is in the movies.
“Tsk. Watch it fat ass.”
People filing in and out of their classes only walk by while you can only sit there on the cement in the center of campus, your books and other items scattered on the ground. Elijah, the boy you once called a friend long long ago, stands there with his hands shoved into his pockets and a cruel smirk on his face. His friends around him chuckling which only encourages him on.
“I didn’t know this place accepted freaks like you here,” Elijah sneers, kicking one of your books sending pages flying and fluttering through the air. He snorts seeing your lack of reaction, running a hand through his hair before turning away and waving for his friends to follow. “Just make sure to stay out of my way, I don’t want to start to smell like a pig.”
The group begins to walk away, his friends continuing to laugh and egg him on. For a brief small moment his gaze flit over once more, his cold brown eyes lingering over your figure. Tears begin to prick at your eyes and all you can do is hope that you’ll be able to avoid him and his group of friends for the remainder of the semester.
