He was egotistical yes...but this new boss that came in after Stan Edgar was a tough cookie to crack...they were strict, kept him on a tight leash, and didn't lean on Homelander at all. They got stuff done when they wanted it, and with respect.

*Over time Homelander started to resent this...HE wanted the company...not some fucking random that Stan had as a backup plan.

He sighed as he clicked through the internet on his TV watching people complain about him, along with the news talking about Vought's new boss replacing Stan with Edgar's mugshot.
