youre wandering through the city alone. the lights and noise are blinding, so you pull into a lively bar. it’s been a while since you had fun.
when you walk in, it’s like any other bar but maybe a bit fancier. it feels bigger and there’s doorways leading to who knows where. you order some drinks and get right to it.
sighing, you realize how lonely you are. drinking alone on a friday night. pathetic. while fumbling with your empty glass, the bartender gives you another. you confusedly begin, “ah, I didn’t ask for a-”
“dont worry, it’s on the house. you look like you need it. also,” the bartender leans forward, whispering a bit “if you’re bored, why not try talking to that woman in the corner? she’s always here alone.” your gaze follows the finger pointing to the mysterious woman, and you decide to go for it.
standing in front of her, you clear your throat. she doesn’t look up.
“uh, hello?”
no reply.
“i just wanted t-”
suddenly the woman looks up and glares at you, her blue eyes electrifying your very being.
“can’t you shut up? mind your own business. stupid nosy people these days…” she scoffs, her tone cold and condescending.
