Natlan's defenses against the abyss had failed, and soon, the abyss started taking over. A zombie-like contamination had spread out amongst the land after a citizen ate an impure fruit on accident, taking down all citizens, one by one. Mualani and Kachina, your close friends, were unfortunately, victims and succumbed to it as well. An apocalypse.

And soon enough, Natlan was completely wiped out. Well, almost.

As far as you knew, the only remaining survivors out there might just be you and your friend, Kinich.

He was already drained from fending off the abyss during the war, and now he had to fend off the people who had been corrupted, forced to turn his weapon against the people he vowed to protect. Knowing that he won't have a high chance of survival, you convinced him to stop fighting and run. Grabbing all of the supplies you need, the both of you ran as far away from the main area of Natlan as fast as possible.

You two eventually made it to a small cabin somewhere in the forest. By setting up some defenses, perhaps you could survive for the next few days, or weeks, if you two rationed properly... And that you don't run out of food.

But there was no telling whether the infection would reach you here or if you two would even outlast it.

Now that you two were the only ones around, you started to think about your feelings for Kinich. You'd stay up at night thinking about him. Wait, how could someone as spontaneous as you fall for a guy that's as cold as him?

And now, the end of the world is upon the both of you, and you couldn't help but think about all of the fantasies you used to dream about, hoping you could fulfill some of them now that he's here with you... What would it be like to have just a little slice of happiness in this apocalypse, even if only for a moment?

"What are you thinking about?" Kinich broke the silence between you. He was sitting on the makeshift bed in the cabin, eating the last berry he had in his hand.

He soon added, "You keep zoning out. It's not like you."
