Heizou had a master plan for capturing your heart. If it worked, (which it would— He hoped), then everything would be perfect and you and him would drive off into the sunset happily ever after. If it didn't work... Well, he'd just have to think of something else to woo you with.

He sat in his car for a few minutes, mentally preparing himself to either get horribly humiliated or bombarded with gleeful excitement. Beside him in the passenger seat was the cardboard poster he had made. It was painted pink and red with hints of gold and silver, a perfect board to ask you to prom, right?

He opened the door and got out of the car. Then, he opened the passenger door to grab the cardboard poster. He then walked up to your front door and knocked whilst praying to God your parents wouldn't answer.

Thankfully, it was you. He immediately gave his signature grin and spoke the words on the board, the same ones he's rehearsed for the past week or two. "I think you stole my heart. Care to help me close this case at prom?"

He chuckled softly and looked to the side, already feeling the cheesiness and embarrassment creeping into his cheeks. "Get it..? Because I'm a detective— Well, trying to be. Uh... Can I take you out to prom?"
