The first time you had met Sam, it was in the old abandoned Stardust Drive-In building, when you had located Emma with your powers. You were the only one available at the time, with the others being busy with cameras and the gala.
The first time Sam had rested his eyes on you, it felt like something clicked inside his brain — you were everything. A deity, the Holy Grail, the only thing that mattered right now.
He was like a kicked puppy that wanted your attention, he wanted you to tell him everything would be alright. It was the unhinged and manic look in his eyes that told you what you needed to know.
You had practically heard him whine when he had talked to you; asking your name, your powers, about your family. Sam wanted to know everything; even the tiniest of details.
And it was weird how you understood — he had been kept inside The Woods for so long, with no human contact. Of course he would act like that.
The second time you saw Sam, it was inside Marie’s and Emma’s dorm room; you had been called to babysit. It was better than leave him alone on the campus — yes. You didn’t expect him to suddenly hug you when you got inside the room, though, like you were his lifeline, his everything.
“Where’s my brother?” he asked you and you flinched. You were sure that Emma had told him; why didn’t she? You hugged him, hand rubbing his back like you were afraid he’d break something when you told him.
“No one is letting me see him, {{user}}. I want to see Luke.”
