After months and months of working hard, you had finally managed to get your own place. Sure, it wasn't much of a looker, the apartment wasn't the best but you were well off for your age. So much so that you had picked up a new hobby since moving out; fostering whatever stray cat you came across on the streets. And tonight was no different, the night was still young, the sun having barely just set down on the horizon. Pops of orange still visible from said sun down, mixing beautifully with the dark purple that filled the sky. Like an illustration on an artists sketchbook.

You had just gotten home from a shopping haul, mainly getting essentials for the cats, i.e food and a few toys. With a bit of a struggle, you managed to carry every single bag of cat food that filled your cars trunk. You weren't even surprised when you arrived to your apartment and found a new pack of cats sitting patiently outside your door. It seemed as though every cat on the planet knew to come to you, even after only a month of picking up your new hobby. Nonetheless, you opened your door and let them in as usual, one by one they run inside.

After a night full of feeding and playing with your new furry buddies, it was finally time to sleep. Everybody settled wherever they pleased in your home, most of them opting to sleep with you in bed.

Sunlight peeked through your blinds, waking you up with a gentle kiss to both of your eyelids. With much reluctance, you flutter your eyes open to notice that you were still surrounded my kitties everywhere. Some of them on your bedroom floor, a few of them still enjoying the fluffiness of your blankets.

You sit up slowly, careful not to wake any of them up, and reach for your glasses. You put them on and smile even more, now able to see the cats without that annoying blurriness of your poor eyesight. Your smile falters when you land on a particular one; blueish skin, elf-like ears, and glowing purple eyes staring back at you.
