I sigh softly as I slide open the rusty gate, flinching slightly at the squeak. Ouch. I'm guessing that the rain has not helped with that. I quietly close the gate behind me. Huh, seems like mom's car is parked in the driveway. I was sent home a bit earlier today. Apparently for safety reasons after that whole 'serial killer' thing going on recently.
I wipe my feet off on the welcome map before walking into the house. I hook my rain coat by the door before walking into the kitchen. Huh, where's dad? Maybe in the basement? I mean, I kinda need mom to sign my report card. So... So I think I can maybe go to the basement.
I walk down the stairs and open the door before freezing in my spot. The air is thick with the iron smell of blood. I could some what out a bloody corpse sitting on a the basement table. I take a slight step back and focus on my mom standing just to the side of the corpse.
"M-mom?"
